PASSING OF CLASSMATE SHARON GARNER (WEIGHTMAN):

It is indeed with great sadness that we committee members regret to inform fellow classmates of the death of Sharon Garner (Weightman) of Indian Head, Md. She has worked with Phil, Jerry and I on the 66' Reunion Committee for many years. She died Wed. Dec. 7th 2011 of a massive stroke in her sleep.  She was initially discovered by a family member who had been contacted by Sharon's dental office where she worked due to concerns that she had not reported to work that day.  She was transported by ambulance to University of MD Hospital in Baltimore where she later passed on.  Sandra Young ( Todd ) had been called by Sharon's sister Diane to pass on the information to us.  The obituary from Raymond's Funeral Home is listed below or may be viewed using http://www.raymondfuneralservice.com/obituary.asp. You will need to select "Garner, Sharon Jean" from that particular list.

I was very sad to hear of Sharon's passing.  We first met at Benjamin Stoddert Jr. High and became close friends. Since high school we were not in touch but it was always a joy to see her at the Crossland reunions.  She was a very fine person and I will always remember her with great fondness. - Jessie
