Ernie and I went through most of public school together.  Many good memories.  Though we were never close friends, we were always friends.  He will be missed.

Ernie and I were in Morningside Elementary School, Suitland Junior High, and Crossland Senior High together. We shared many classes. Recently he paid me a very high compliment - he said I was one of the very few girls he could talk too. We shared a table at the reunion. We shared an interest in Civil War. He had become a Civil War re-enactor. I will miss him! He was a kind gentle man.

I always find it sad to hear of people of my age group, and especially ones I went to School with such as Ernie passing like many we new each other in School however after Graduation we just seem to drift apart. Sympathy's to his family, and those close to Ernie.

I too remember Ernest from Elementary thru High School.  He was such a quiet, gentle person.  He will surely be missed. I'm only sorry that I didn't have a chance to see him after High School.

I didn'the know Erie. For that matter, I don'recall knowing any of the people that posted comments. We had a large class and some of us never crossed paths. However, it really hits home when classmates are lost. I still think of all of us as kids from school although I know we are beyond that. Let's hope the balance of our class lives another 20 plus years. To Ernie'so family, I am sorry for your loss.
